About Us

Our History

Why We Started

Isabelle Olenik founded The Lancaster Snow Ball in 2022 as an event to give homeschoolers the chance to 1) meet other homeschoolers and have fun at prom/homecoming style event. And 2) give back to the community.

The first year was a success, our 105 guests had a great time and together we raised $3,000 for the Clare House.

In year two, the event was chaired by Reese Olenik and more than 130 attendees raised $5,000 for the Milagro House and last year we topped 180 highschoolers.

Last year the committee chaired by Maggie Olenik, raised money for Walking Forward Together, a program that helps families after losing infants or going through child loss.

Maggie

Hi! My name is Maggie Olenik. I am a 17-year-old senior. This is my fourth and final year being a part of the committee. I have loved serving as the committee chair the past two years! I play field hockey and run track & field for McCaskey. In my free time, I enjoy being outside, reading or listening to music. One of my favorite things to do is play games with my family. Thank you to all who have supported this event in the past and will support us in the future. Thank you to my family. And of course, thank you to my amazing committee! I can’t wait to see you at this year's dance!

Natalie

Hello my name is Natalie Olenik and I am a sophomore in high school. This is my second year on the committee as the Vendor and Caterer Liaison. I am a member of the J.P. McCaskey girl’s varsity soccer team where this season I served as a captain. This winter and spring I intend to throw for J.P. McCaskey's track and field team. In my free time I enjoy working out, playing soccer, reading, being with friends and family, and anything health and fitness related. My parents have been such a huge part of making this dance possible each year and I am grateful for all the time and support they put into it for all of us. My favorite Bible verse that has helped me through the difficulties in life is “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippines 4:13
